If you’ve used a similar service before, the process is pretty simple. Users can log into myxperia.sonymobile.com using their Google ID, and they will automatically have access to a number of remote functions including:
- Sound an alert to get someone’s attention –it’ll also override silent mode and wake the display
- Map location via myxperia.sonymobile.com
- Lock the phone to keep info private, and ping a message with contact details or…
- Erase both internal and external SD card info / data if required
If you don’t see the app yet, don’t fret. According to Sony, the rolling out process will take a couple of weeks and is available for 2012/3 Xperia devices.
