Yesterday, Yahoo Japan noticed that Apple filed for the iWatch trademark in Japan on 3 June 2013, and it doesn’t stop there. According to Engadget, later yesterday, reports shows that Apple has also applied for the same trademark in Mexico and Taiwan; a Russian newspaper also claimed that Apple has filed for the trademark in the country though, no official paperwork have surfaced for these countries yet.
Apple has been rumored to be working on an iWatch device for quite some time now, Bloomberg reported before that Apple has as many as 100 employees that are working on a smartwatch. Earlier this year, Apple filed for a patent for a watch-like AMOLED device that comes with a slap bracelet, kinetic energy charger and “end-detection” user sensing among a whole list of features. iWatch anyone?
