HTC has been rumoured to be working on a “mini” variant of its sexy HTC One flagship, with an image and initial specs of the purported device showing up last week. It appears that the HTC One Mini is indeed proving to be more than just mere speculation, judging by a comprehensive tip obtained by Engadget late last night.
Besides the image above, the “trusted source” also provided benchmark scores that reveals the processor behind powering the One Mini: a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 1.4GHz dual-core chipset – a lower-clocked variant of the same chipset found on the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini.
Crucially, it appears HTC has also retained a similar metal unibody for the One Mini – previously codenamed M4, and added an Ultrapixel camera with Full HD video recording and HTC Zoe on board. However, the IR blaster does not make an appearance here.
The HTC One Mini is expected to be officially announced in Q3 this year, bringing the HTC-Samsung battle down to a lower price point.
