At every big tech shows around the world, some manufacturers are bound to show off something a little less ordinary and Computex 2013 isn’t any different. Gigabyte is showing off a Smart Lamp that is actually a USB hub, but fitted with a lamp because, I don’t know, some Ultrabooks does not have backlit keyboards, maybe.
The Smart Lamp comes with four different levels of brigntness that can be adjusted simply by touching a button, comes with a built-in DVD player (why not burner?), 2 USB ports, dual earphone jacks, and an SD card reader. Sadly, it is pretty unfit as a hub either with the lack of an Ethernet jack, HDMI port and maybe a couple more USB ports.
No further information has been given regarding the Smart Lamp regarding its pricing and availability, hopefully Gigabyte will add in a little more stuffs before launching a final product.
