At the MSI booth here at Computex 2013, the company is showing off what appears to be a direct competitor to the Razer Blade gaming notebook. Like Razer’s premium gaming laptop, the 17.3-inch MSI GS70 Stealth laptop features gaming-grade specs in a slim chassis made from aluminium. And, just like the Blade, the GS70 Stealth also sports a secondary touch-enabled panel. Interestingly, this touchscreen is located where the touchpad is normally placed, making it a hybrid touchpad/touchscreen display.
Unfortunately, what we’re seeing here is just a concept device, and the touchscreen does not yet function as it should. This 17.3-inch powerhouse will, however, hit the market – albeit with a regular touchpad. The MSI GS70 will be released in August this year with prices starting from $1699 (around RM5100).
As for this interesting concept device, however, MSI has not yet revealed plans to ship it. Until then, check out our snapshots and a quick video of the MSI GS70 Stealth gaming notebook after the jump.
