During CES 2013, Samsung introduced its NX300 mirrorless interchangeable lens camera, along with a NX-mount 45mm f/1.3 lens that is capable of capturing 3D still images and videos, and if you’ve been eagerly waiting for their arrival, here it is! Samsung Malaysia yesterday announced that the camera will be arriving in Malaysia in the middle of April with a retail price of RM2,699 (body and kit lens only).
Just a quick recap, the NX300 is equipped with a 20.3MP APS-CMOS sensor on board together with the company’s very own DRIMe IV imaging engine, allowing for 1080p HD video capture in not only 2D, but also in 3D mode when used together with the 3D-capable lens.

Instant Sharing
It’s not a new thing for Samsung to include Wi-Fi connectivity on its cameras, the NX300 is equipped with Wi-Fi that not only allows for instant sharing, but also allows for the camera to connect to your smartphone (Android or iOS) using Samsung Smart Camera app. On top of that, NX300 also has NFC connectivity for instant sharing with NFC-enabled devices.
Perfect Shooting
Central to the NX300’s outstanding imaging performance is its brand new 20.3MP APS-C CMOS sensor, capable of capturing high quality details. Images boasts sharp, life-like colors and are crusp and clear in all light conditions. The wide ISO range (ISO100 to ISO25600) further improves performance, letting users capture beautifully balanced images in even the darkest conditions. A brand new Hybrid Auto Focus system also delivers fast, accurate phase and contrast detection, while the 1/6000 sec shutter speed and 8.6fps contimuous shooting mode ensure you never miss a moment.
The NX300’s 3.31” AMOLED screen makes capturing and reviewing images a pleasure, while the hybrid touch screen and five-way manual key interface is simple and intuitive to use. The tilt display makes taking high and low angle shots easier, enabling avid photographers to capture the world as they see it.
Available in three colors – white, brown and black, the Samsung NX200 retails at RM2,699 with a kit lens on board.
