Samsung is rumoured to be ready to flood the tablet market early on in 2014, with as many as four tablets to debut at February’s Mobile World Congress (MWC). Most of them are pretty standard affairs, but one of them stands out like a sore thumb: a 12.2-inch slab that may be called the Galaxy Note Pro.
If the “Pro” moniker sounds familiar to you, it is because another rumoured tablet would be sporting the Pro tag too: last month rumours emerged that Apple is working on a 12.9-inch iPad Pro that supposedly packs an “almost UHD resolution display”. As for this Galaxy Note Pro, SamMobile reports that the internal hardware will mostly mirror the Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition, such as 32GB of storage, 3GB of RAM and a 2560 x 1600 resolution display. It may even sport a similar faux leather back cover, as can be seen in the leaked image above.

What about the other three tablets, then? Judging by the same rumour, Samsung will be using the “Pro” moniker heavily, with another two tablets to be called the Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 (indicating the screen size), and the Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1. The inclusion of a “Pro” suffix is likely due to the Korean giants also introducing a Galaxy Tab Lite, a budget 7-inch tablet that may retail below 100 euros.
All the Pro Samsung tablets will supposedly come will WiFi and LTE connectivity; the cheaper Galaxy Tab Lite will come with WiFi and 3G options. They will all reportedly be announced in time for MWC 2014, where Samsung is also expected to unveil its first Tizen-based devices.
