It’s LG’s turn at MWC so what else do the company have to announce besides the brand new LG Optimus F5 and Optimus F7? The Optimus L5II and Optimus L7II, a sequel to the Optimus L series that were announced just last year. The units were both displayed at MWC 2013, showing off a brand new design and a slightly bummed up insides.
Both the Optimus L5II and L7II features cosmetic changes. They feature a new textured back which I suspect is something like the Optimus Vu we have, laser cut contour edges for a more premium look and feel, and a new LED light bar around the physical home button that comes with a rainbow effect.
And now for the specifications, first up, the Optimus L7II packs a mid-range components like a 4.3” IPS display , dual-core processor, 768MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage expandable via microSD card slot and will run on Android 4.1 out of the box. The camera has also been improved from last year’s unit, giving it a 8MP rear camera along with a VGA front-facing one and according to Engadget, you can expect similar image quality to the camera found on the Optimus 4X HD that was also introduced last year.
The Optimus L5II on the other hand will come with a slightly lower spec like a 1GHz single core processor, dual-SIM connectivity, 5MP rear shooter, and will also run on Android 4.1 out of the box.
No further details have been revealed, the L7II is already available to the east since last month. The Optimus L II series should sit just below the Optimus F series that was introduced just last week.
