Browsing through the newspaper today, it appears Nokia Malaysia has dropped the price of the Lumia 820 smartphone. The mid-range Windows Phone 8 device has had its price slashed by RM200, and is now retailing at RM1399. We’re not too sure what is the reason behind the drop in price, however. There are no new WP8 devices coming soon from Nokia, and not even rumours of any for next week’s Mobile World Congress.
In any case, the price drop may help sway those who have been holding out for the Lumia 820, and the new price also resonates better with the mid-range category that the device sits in.
