If you can’t beat them on features, beat them on screensize! Huawei have come out with their monstrous 6.1Inch Phoneablet which has the biggest identity crisis of them all. Just when you thought that phones couldn’t get any bigger than the Note 2 at 5.5inches, here comes the pocket busting 6.1Inch, 720p resolution Ascend Mate, powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core processor and 2GB of RAM. For our counterparts in countries where it’s actually cold enough to wear gloves, the screen features Magic Touch technology that enables you to use your gigantic phone without taking them off. To compensate for the huge screensize and presumably huge power draw the Ascend Mate features a mammoth 4,050 mAh battery and even a one handed mode which puts the dialer and keyboard at a bottom corner of the screen. This begs the question, back in the day we thought the Dell Streak was an abomination of mankind and that was just 5inches. Where is the line going to be drawn for Phone/Tablet categorisation?
