For the past four months, Asiasoft has embarked on a six-country tour to find the best Alliance of Valiant Arms (A.V.A) and Sudden Attack teams that the Southeast Asia region has to offer. More than 100 teams accepted the challenge but eventually only the national champions from each country received the rights to compete at the regional showdown event – PlayFPS Elites 2013.
Taking place at The Mall Ngamwongwan Convention Centre in Bangkok on 26 and 27 January 2013, the inaugural edition of PlayFPS Elites offers cash prizes that worth RM 36,534 (USD 12,000 ) in total and among teams that will be involved in the event are two of our own: Team Crayon in A.V.A and Team MTK in Sudden Attack.
Malaysia’s representative at FPS Elites 2013.
Established in 2012, Team Crayon might be new in A.V.A but the members have been indulging in tons of other MMO FPS prior to the game which helped them becoming the top team in A.V.A’s FPS Elites Malaysian qualifiers. Meanwhile, Team MTK is a veteran Sudden Attack team that has been around since 2011 and its current iteration consisted of players from Malaysia, South Korea and Thailand including long-time FPS player Andrew Weng Keong “zeal” Yee who have representing numerous top-tier local FPS teams throughout the years including the legendary Full Metal Jacket (FMJ) as well as Championship Gaming Series’ KL Taufan.
We will be monitoring their progress in the PlayFPS Elite 2013 right here at the capital city of Thailand throughout the weekend, so stay tuned. The event can also be viewed live through www.playfps.com.
