Is a 5.5” Samsung Galaxy Note II too small for your liking and a 10.1” Galaxy Note too huge? No problem, you can definitely count on Samsung to cater a device to everybody’s need; J.K. Shin, the Head of Mobile Communications of Samsung has recently confirmed that the company will indeed be unveiling an 8” Samsung Galaxy Note device at the upcoming Mobile World Congress 2013 that is scheduled for the end of February.
A couple of months back, we’ve been seeing benchmark numbers for a mysterious GT-N5100 device. It was rumored to be a Galaxy Note tablet device with a 7- or 8-inch display and if it is really the 8” Galaxy Note, it means that the device will pack some pretty impressive specs like a 1.6GHz quad-core Exynos 4412 processor with 2GB of RAM on board, 16GB or 32GB of internal storage expandable via MicroSD slot, 1280 x 800 resolution display, 5MP rear camera and 1.3MP front camera, 4600mAh battery, and will run on Android 4.2 out of the box.
No details have been confirmed of course, J.K. Shin revealed nothing but the display size and the specs above are purely derived from all the rumors we’ve been seeing as of late. Anyone looking forward to an 8” Samsung Galaxy Note?
