If there was one thing I love about Galaxy Note range of devices from Samsung is the S Pen and a suite of applications. The last time when Samsung released ICS update for its original Note, on top of all the regular updates in the OS itself, it brought along a premium suite with a whole host of apps to enhance the S Pen usability. This time round, Samsung has released the Jelly Bean update for its Note 10.1 and as before, it comes with a premium suite that, well, basically gives you all the functionality found on the Note II.
First up, Android 4.1 for Note 10.1 comes with Multi Window that allows you to multitask up to 16 apps at once; for your information, the Note II can only have 2 apps opened at a single time. Each of the opened app can be moved around, resized and pinned to the top. The update also brings other Note II features such as Air View (hover the S Pen over a folder, an email, a video clip and such for a preview), enhanced S Pen which brings Easy Clip, enhanced S Note that comes with 9 template, and many more.
The update has been rolled out to other parts of the world but unfortunately, the company did not reveal any timeline for the rest of us. The ROM is available for download of course, but if you’re not willing to take the risk, check out the video demo below.
