It’s already the middle of October and if you’re about to throw all your hopes and dreams of a smaller iPad away, don’t because here’s one more. It has recently been leaked on a German electronic retailer’s inventory system that Apple will have 16 variants of the iPad mini ranging from 8GB all the way to 64GB with either a Wi-Fi only model or a Wi-Fi + Cellular flavor up for grabs. As with all the iPads that are available now, it will be available in either black or white.
Price wise, it will start off with the cheapest unit, 8GB Wi-Fi only, that costs €249; that’s just a little under RM1,000. The 8GB Wi-Fi + Cellular model will be priced at €349, the same as a 16GB Wi-Fi only variant. Add another €100 to that (€449) and you can get the 16GB Wi-Fi + Cellular or 32GB Wi-Fi only model, and another €100 (€549) will step the option up to 32GB Wi-Fi + Cellular or 64GB Wi-Fi only. Finally for the highest spec unit – 64GB Wi-Fi + Cellular, it will cost you a whopping €649; that’s approximately RM2,600. For reference purposes, the 64GB Wi-Fi + Cellular new iPad costs RM2,499, but that’s of course, Malaysian price. To put things back to into perspective, the same device costs €799 in that part of the world, which should be inclusive of tax and what not. So, are you excited about the iPad mini yet?
