At BlackBerry World 2012, RIM showed off the first glimpses of what the future Mobile Computing Platform BB OS 10 was going to be like and boy did it look like a breath of fresh air for BlackBerry as a whole. Unfortunately, at the convention, there were no working units for us to play with, as all the BB 10 Dev Alpha devices were just environments for the devs to make sure their apps ran smooth on the new OS. We couldn’t preview exactly what the OS would look like or even try any of the functionality we saw at the keynote.
Thanks to the guys at Engadget who got a preview from RIM, we finally have a look at what BB10 will look like on the device. The first picture looks like the usual widget laden home screen we are familiar with on android when in fact they are simply open apps which change due to your usage. Lots of the interface will be gesture driven and it won’t be anything super revolutionary, but credit where credit is due, I think it looks quite good for what we are used to from RIM.
The question is, how will this experience translate to a smaller screen that we are more familiar with for BlackBerries?
