It looks like several US based websites are taking this whole SOPA thing into their own hands, after two petitions that were signed by over 50000 people each have failed to make an impact on Congress.
As per the screenshot above, the Strike Against SOPA website states that a whole list of sites will go dark on 18 January to protest the controversial censorship bill. Spear headed by Reddit, the list of protestors includes sites like Mozilla, Tucows, Boing Boing, Twitpic and Minecraft. However, widespread rumors that say Twitter, Facebook and YouTube will go offline on that date are still rumors. No one from Google or Twitter has confirmed that their sites will be participating.
