The Sony Xperia T will be fondly remembered as James Bond’s smartphone of choice, even if it has not been seen anywhere in the wild just yet. Fret not, however, because the international variant, the Xperia TX (the one that should be coming to Malaysia) has just been on sale in Hong Kong, and for a flagship device, the price looks pretty competitive, too.
Announced back at IFA in Berlin, the Xperia TX is similar to the Xperia T, in terms of hardware, with the exception of LTE – which is only found in the US-bound Xperia T. As such, it will be packing a slightly smaller battery, and encased in a smaller chassis. Both the TX and T inherits the sexy arc in the back, last seen in the Xperia Arc S.
And, at a retail price of $606 (roughly RM1818), Sony’s flagship device is priced lower than the expected price of Nokia’s upcoming Lumia 920, and even lower than the current price of the Samsung Galaxy S3. That is, of course, if the price is retained over here.
