It took a while for it to come since the announcement, but the Android 4.0 update is now live for three more Sony Xperia devices: the U, Go and Sola. Coming from Gingerbread to ICS does bring about plenty of improvements to the devices, with Sony promising improvements to the lock screen, new media applications (WALKMAN, Album, Movies), extended standby mode as well as resizable widgets – in addition to the general upgrade in performance from the newer OS update.
Also, the Xperia Sola will now also have Glove Mode, which utilises the Floating Touch technology on the device to allow use of the phone even with gloves on. Not quite like Nokia’s Super Sensitive Touch technology (where even a banana can be used on the phone – not sure why though), but it will ensure those in the colder climates will be able to comfortably use their Sola.
