Just six months after Apple’s App Store hit 25 billion downloads, Google has reached the same milestone. And, as is tradition, Google wants to celebrate the achievement with you Android users.
Earlier this month, Android chief Andy Rubin tweeted that there was a staggering 1.3 million Android device activations per day, up more than three times the last time Rubin announced the stats back in June, where there were 400 000 activations per day. No doubt, this tremendously helped push the app downloads to where it is today.
Hence, for the next five days, Android users can look forward to massive discounts for popular apps from Gameloft, Rovio and EA, among others, with each app going for a rock-bottom $0.25. On top of that, Google will also be offering special content bundles during this period. Do keep in mind that an app that you buy now will stick with you across devices, so now would be a great time for some bargain hunting!
