At the same event where the Huawei Ascend P1 was officially launched here in Malaysia, they also showcased other devices that may make it on our shores. Among them is the MediaPad 10 FHD, Huawei’s latest foray into the tablet market.
Head on after the break for more photos, as well as the tablet’s tech specs.
Going by specs alone, it’s fair to say that the MediaPad 10 FHD is one powerful tablet. In fact, it ticks all the right boxes for a top-of-the-range Android tablet: quad-core processor, full HD IPS screen, SIM card slot and expandable storage. The 8MP camera at the back is also able to record full HD.
Powerful specs aside, the tablet itself was a little thick on the hands, despite the 8.8mm thickness of the tablet. Our brief time we have with the tablet gave us the impression that it may be a bit uncomfortable to be holding for long periods of time.
Interestingly, looking at the back of the tablet, we can’t help but feel the MediaPad FHD bears more than a striking resemblance to the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, especially the top, where the camera is housed.
SIM card and microSD card slot
Regardless, the specs alone should mean that the MediaPad FHD will be an Android tablet to watch out for. For more information on the tablet, head on to Huawei’s microsite here.
