One of the most interesting things Samsung announced at the last IFA has definitely got to be the Samsung Galaxy Camera, a compact point-and-shoot camera that runs on Android. Before the announcement, Nikon also announced an Android camera but the one from Samsung has got all the interesting things that make it more appealing such as Android Jelly Bean and a large 4.8” display that we all love. If you’ve been waiting for it, it looks like you might be able to get one for yourself really soon. Samsung Malaysia’s Facebook account recently teased that the Galaxy Camera is “coming soon”.
Just to refresh you a little, the 16MP Galaxy Camera features a 1280 x 720 pixels touchscreen display with 308ppi. It’s powered by a 1.4GHz quad-core processor and since it runs on Android OS, you can easily install apps such as Instagram and all sorts of filter before sharing them via Wi-Fi and even via cellular to social networks and such.
This is definitely something I personally can’t wait for. Would you buy any other ordinary point and shoot camera when there’s one that’s powered by a quad-core processor and runs on Android Jelly Bean? I wouldn’t.
