The mobile phone world is moving forward with larger screen devices being the norm and devices like the Galaxy Note with it’s 5inch screen being a big hit in recent times. We were in Singapore with GPS device manufacturers TomTom to check out their latest and greatest in their VIA line of GPS units. The star of the show was the new TomTom VIA 620 for South East Asia, TomTom’s largest and sharpest screen to date. The VIA 620 features an extra large high resolution 6inch screen which gives a wider, clearer view as well as gives drivers larger on screen buttons and more streamlined menus to give a better driving and navigation experience.
Also for the first time ever, the new TomTom VIA 620 offers Malaysian drivers free lifetime updates for the maps of all 7 South East Asian countries that come pre-loaded with TomTom Devices. From now until the 31st October 2012, users are entitled to the Lifetime South East Asia Map Update Service Subscription with any purchase of the TomTom VIA or GO series GPS.
The best thing about the TomTom VIA 620 however has to be the price. For a 6inch device, the VIA 620 is retailing at a very modest RM799, competitive with devices in the market today.
