When HTC showed off its hero of the year, the HTC One X, we were quite smitten by the phone, now barely 8 months later, HTC have pulled a “Sensation XE”, showing off the souped up and aptly names HTC One X+. True to it’s name, the One X+ takes everything we loved about the original One X and made it even better. Sticking with the iconic design of the One X, its innards get a major overhaul. Featuring the blazing fast 1.7GHz quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3 AP37 processor, the One X+ is about 27% faster than its predecessor.Article continues after the jump
With a faster processor comes the need for a beefier battery. The One X+ boasts a sexy 2,100mAh battery that hopefully will address the battery life woes that many have had with the One X. Another change is the front facing camera, improving to a 1.6MP 720p camera giving that tad better resolution when doing video calls (or cam whoring). With the faster processor of course lets the 99 shot burst mode feature shine, capturing more shots in a shorter amount of time. Of course, the phone is wrapped up in a nice, neat little package called HTC Sense 4+, which is essentially the Jellybean upgrade for Sense UI.
Those of you who were sitting on the fence on if they should get a One X, now have a new option thrown into the works. According to HTC, the One X+ will be taking over the hero position of the lineup, while the One X will be made even more affordable with the inclusion of a 16GB model in the near future. The One X will also be getting the Sense 4+ update, making it even more a matter of splitting hairs between the two. HTC have indicated a release date within the next 2 weeks and priced about the same as the One X (RRP was RM2,099).
