Not to be left out in the whole ultrabook hype, here’s an ultrabook from Dell – the XPS 13. Weighing at about 1.36kg, the profile of this slim gadget from Dell measures at a maximum of 18mm. Priced at USD$999, it sports an aluminum lid and carbon fiber chassis surrounding a 13” display, and thanks to a thin bezel, Dell managed to squeeze in a larger display in a typical 12” notebook size. According to Engadget, the XPS 13 is definitely one of the slimmest ultrabooks around.
As for the specifications, it’ll be powered by Intel Core i5 processor and will come with 128GB SSD, 4GB of RAM and a keyboard. Of course, that’s only the most basic configuration, you can always upgrade it to a 256GB SSD and even up to a Core i7 processor. The Gorilla Glass display on the XPS 13 will have a 300 nit and 1366 x 768 resolution.
Other specs include a USB 3.0 and a USB 2.0 port, Mini DisplayPort, audio jack and a 1.3MP webcam. To make a profile that slim, it looks like Dell decided to skip out on the memory card slot and even a missed out on the HDMI slot found on its competitors products.
