Fisher Price makes toys for kids, but that doesn’t mean the toys they make aren’t cool enough to make it at CES. At the electronics show in Vegas now, the company just unveiled its Kid Tough Portable DVR; that ugly looking piece of gadget that promises to keep your kids entertained because well, they can throw it about and it’ll still be functional.
Touting a tough design that can keep your kids entertained for up to 2 hours at a time, the Portable DVR allows you to record videos on your cable or satellite set-top box via composite cables. It’ll be available in pink and blue so you can always have one whether you have a girl or boy. I don’t know about you but I think kids these days, even toddlers and babies, are blessed with higher tech devices such as the iPad and iPhone; they won’t even want to look at this hideous looking thing.
Nonetheless, if you don’t intend to spoil your kid with a fancy gadget or do not wish for them to throw it into a pool of water, Fisher Price promises that it’ll be available by May 2012 and will have a price tag of USD$150. Oh and other specs includes a 3.5” touchscreen display, built-in stereo speakers, headphone jack, and microSD slot for up to 32GB of storage.
