Ever since the Samsung Galaxy camera came out, there has been quite a bit of chatter online about these Android OS powered cameras and how they integrate the OS and social media with taking pictures. The latest player in the Android Camera market is quite a strange one. Polaroid, makers of incredible instant cameras of yesteryear as well as a few interesting digital options in recent times has been said to be working on the IM1836, a 18.1MP interchangeable lens system with a 3.5Inch touchscreen, Android 4.0, pop-up flash, WiFi and a HDMI port.
If you notice, the IM1836 and the newly released Nikon 1 J2 look pretty eerily similar, leading us to believe that it may use the same lenses. With all rumours though, you should always take it with a grain of salt.
What do you think? Android cameras the next big thing in photography?
