It appears the news on Microsoft’s Windows Phone platform is coming in thick and fast today. GSMarena reports that the final major update for Windows Phone 7 has begun rolling out to Nokia’s Lumia 800 devices worldwide. However, the update goes live region by region, and it appears it has not yet hit our side of the world just yet; however, new regions are going live as we speak.
To recap, Windows Phone 7.8 adds some Windows Phone 8 features to legacy WP7 devices. Chief among these is the introduction of the new Start screen with resizeable tiles, Live Lock Screen Wallpaper that updates everyday, new colour themes as well as Nokia-exclusive customisations such as Bluetooth transfer and the ability to edit ringtones.
