Designed to be yet another budget device in the Nokia‘s Lumia family, the Finish phone maker has officially revealed the much-rumored Nokia Lumia 505 which is exclusively made for the Mexican market. Despite featuring a physical design that is more in-line with Nokia’s Windows Phone 8 devices such as 920 and 820, the Lumia 505 is actually a Windows Phone 7.8 device.
The new Lumia 505 features a 3.7-inch display covered by a Corning Gorilla Glass and with a resolution of 800×400. Furthermore, it is also equipped with 256MB of RAM, 4GB non-expandable internal storage and removable 1300 mAh battery that is able to provide up to 7.3 hour of 3G talk time. Photography-wise, the Lumia 505 comes with a single 8-megapixels rear camera but without any of those Carl-Zeiss or PureView enhancements.
From the design and the spec sheet,we would say that the new Nokia Lumia 505 definitely offers a better reason to own a Lumia rather than the globally available Lumia 510. That being said, we would recommend the Windows Phone 8-based Lumia 620 instead which is expected to coss only around RM 100 more than the Lumia 510.
