As many will know by now, Google’s upcoming Nexus smartphones will not just be manufactured by Samsung, with the last Nexus device, the Nexus 7 tablet, Google went for ASUS. The next Nexus smartphone, interestingly, is up in the air as to who will be the manufacturers. According to leaks (and there have been more than a few), Google’s next vanilla Android smartphone will be made by LG. To be called the LG Nexus 4, it will be based on LG’s upcoming beast of a smartphone, the Optimus G.
However, new photo leaks point to yet another Nexus smartphone, this time made by Sony. The Sony Nexus X, as some are speculating it to be called, heavily follows the Xperia design ethos, complete with the arc at the back of the phone. The front, as with all Nexus devices, are unadorned with any branding.
As these are just some leaked photos, they might very well be fakes. The Verge pointed out that the photos show just a Google logo, instead of “With Google” as found in the Nexus 4. Regardless, it will be good news to all if there are more Nexus smartphone designs to choose from, especially if there exists one as sexy as this.
