Making its debut on the 7-years old gaming console, Microsoft today has announced that its SkyDrive cloud-based storage service is now available on Xbox 360 via the new SkyDrive app. The SkyDrive app is part of more than 40 apps that the company are deploying to all Xbox 360s (varied according to specific region) throughout the globe between now and the spring of 2013.
Focusing on image and video sharing, the new SkyDrive app for Xbox 360 also includes slide show functionality. Furthermore, the app also supports Kinect which allowed users to navigate through the app via voice controls and gestures. Here’s a short clip that summarizes the app’s abilities:

Major Nelson has pointed out that it might take some time for the app to arrive on Xbox Live Markerplace due to the high amount of apps that Microsoft are deploying into the system. So, hang on tight there if the new SkyDrive app has not yet appeared in your console’s Marketplace.
