Microsoft is pushing out its latest marketing agenda for its new Internet Explorer 10 browser. Showing that it is fully aware of the times, its first video takes a self-deprecating look at Internet Explorer’s reputation as a browser that is outdated and good “only for downloading other browsers”.
Featuring a guy the video implies to be someone we all know who hates on IE, the video tries to convince viewers that its past reputation no longer applies for its new iteration, optimised for Windows 8. The video then shows a link, called The Browser You Loved to Hate, which posts links to photos and quotes that revolve on the theme of “comebacks come in many shapes and sizes”.

The video has garnered plenty of positive remarks from viewers (probably because many can relate to the guy), and IE10’s marketing campaign looks to be a very modern take on a modern new browser for Microsoft’s latest OS.
