As we head into the final two weeks before the release of the year’s final epic movie, The Mac Observer has uncovered a cool Easter egg that can be found on all Macs and Macbooks, which details all the important events that happened in the Middle-Earth universe.
By entering the Terminal utility, users can view the full list of dates of defining moments in the saga, such as the unexpected party, Bilbo’s riddles in the dark with Gollum, the council of Elrond, and many more. Just type cat /usr/share/calendar/calendar.lotr and refresh your Middle-Earth history in time for the worldwide release of The Hobbit.
