Downloading files through a phone might not be the easiest task around but the latest update for Opera Mini Internet browser for J2ME-based phones and BlackBerry devices is aiming to make the task slightly easier. The newly released Opera Mini 7.1 update brings together a new download manager that has been designed specifically for the task.
Through it, a download can be paused when one’s phone lost its data connection and then resumed when the connection is available once again. Furthermore, BlackBerry users can access the downloaded file directly through the browser while J2ME-based phone users are also able to access the file directly through respective app that is meant for the file or save it for later.
Also renowned for its server-side compression technology that renders a web page before delivering to it is sent to user’s device which made browsing faster and requires less data, the new Opera Mini 7.1 update can be obtained directly by browsing m.opera.com right from your phone’s current browser.
