A long established player in the market, BenQ has the reputation as one of the most well-known projector manufacturer in the market and earlier today, the company has provided us a brief access to one of its upcoming product for 2013. Officially named as the BenQ W1080ST projector, it is said to be the world’s first full HD 1080p short throw projector.
For those that are not familiar with the term, short throw projector is the name given to projectors that are designed to display large images on a screen without taking much space. For example, the BenQ W01080ST is able to project 65.7-inch image at a distance of just one meter. This ability allows it to be used in areas where space is limited.
With a maximum image size of 300-inch, the BenQ W1080ST projector also comes with ISF-certified calibration controls complete with Day and Night modes. Apart from that, it also supports multiple 3D formats and boasts plenty of connectors including two HDMI ports as well as a built-in 10W speaker. With a brightness of 2000 ANSI lumen, its 240W lamp is able to last up till 6000 hours.
