HTC were not very forthcoming with its latest smartphone. First they launched the Japan-exclusive J Butterfly, whetting the geeky appetites around the world. Then they gave the US a treat by launching the same smartphone, but renamed it as the Droid DNA. Naturally, the rest of the world is left frustratingly restless to get their hands on the first smartphone with a Full HD screen. Well, come to think of it, that is some pretty smart marketing.
With every passing week, HTC teased by trickling little bits of detail on the HTC Deluxe DLX – the international variant of the J Butterfly/Droid DNA. And now, they’ve done it again: leaked official photos of the powerfully sexy phablet…in new colours.
It looks like the DLX will come in matte black as well as a glossy shade of brown. But we’re sure the head-turner will be the glossy white – directly pitting it against the Samsung Galaxy Note II. While specs wise there isn’t a clear winner, the Note II does have the brilliant S Pen as an edge. So naturally it all boils down to the price of the DLX. Unfortunately, that’s still a mystery, although sources claim that more will be revealed on December 6.
Till the next round of teasing, then.
