It was only a matter of time before these souped-up Android smartphones become the norm. Yesterday, Huawei announced its latest flagship Android smartphone: the Honor 2. Don’t let the “2” fool you though – while the original Honor was moderately specced, its successor is a lot more powerful.
Sporting a 4.5-inch 1280 x 720 screen (326 ppi pixel density) and powered by its in-house quad core 1.4GHz processor with 2GB of RAM, the Honor 2 certainly means business. Add to that an 8MP backside-illuminated camera with 1080p video recording, 8GB storage with microSD card slot and a massive 2230mAh battery, this phone is certainly right up there with the best of other flagship devices.
And, just like the Google Nexus 4, the best bit is the Honor 2’s price. Huawei’s devices have always been very competitive, and the Honor 2 is no different, at only around $300 (roughly RM900). However, there’s no word yet if this device will be available here anytime soon.
