Mobile services enabler, Sedania, is expanding its airtime services and today, it has launched a new app to facilitate the expansion. Called “ShareShare OTT”, the app simplifies airtime operations between telcos and adds a couple of social features by using the app.
The ShareShare OTT (over-the-top) app is the first of its kind in the market. It allows mobile prepaid customers to top-up, transfer, and even request for airtime credit across multiple telecommunication companies, including Celcom, Maxis, Digi, U Mobile, and Tune Talk. This is possible using the company’s proprietary ShareShare credit “Heartz”.
Not only that, users can create their own social profile on the app. They can add “Buddiez” and reload their airtime credit via Internet banking right from the app itself. Whether it’s reloading, transferring, or requesting for airtime credit, each transaction will reward the user with ‘pointz’ which can be exchanged for additional airtime credits, or unlock special features in the app. There’s even a ranking system among the user and their Buddiez, determined from the pointz they earn.
On top of that, Sedania has also gotten local celebrity SonaOne onboard to be the ambassador of the ShareShare OTT app. Sedania Innovator Executive Director Firoz Mohd Noor mentioned:
SonaOne’s appointment is reflective of the younger generation that believes in freedom of choice and empowerment to better manage one’s resources.
Sedania Innovator seems to be pretty serious with the launch of the ShareShare OTT app, as it has allocated roughly RM1 million to advertise and promote the app. To find out more about ShareShare, head on to the official website here. Those interested in trying out the app can download it on both iOS and Android.
