Just a mere three weeks after they were announced at CES 2015, Alienware’s latest addition to its gaming laptop family are now available through Dell Malaysia’s online store. In case you missed the news, these laptops come in the form of the new 2015 Alienware 15 and 17.
With a starting price point of RM 4999, the base model for the 2015 Alienware 15 in Malaysia comes with a 2.9GHz Intel Core i5-4210H dual-core processor, 8GB RAM, 1TB 5400rpm hard disk drive, and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970M GPU with 3GB GDDR5 VRAM. Of course, there is also the 15.6-inch full HD anti-glare IPS display.
Customers have the option to equip their unit with 2.5GHz Intel Core i7-4710HQ quad-core processor, up to 16GB of RAM, additional solid state drive of up to 512GB, and 15.6-inch 4K touch display. For customers that choose to have touch display for their 2015 Alienware 15, they also have the option to add NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980M GPU into their new laptop.
On the 2015 Alienware 17, the Core i7-4710HQ processor is already part of the base model alongside 8GB RAM, 1TB 5400rpm hard disk drive, and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970M with 3GB GDDR5 VRAM. With a starting price tag of RM 7499, it also features a 17.3-inch full HD anti-glare IPS display.
Those who prefer more powerful components for their 2015 Alienware 17 can chose to have it with 2.8GHz Intel Core i7-4980HQ quad-core processor, up to 16GB RAM and additional solid state drive with capacity of up to 512GB. Additionally, customers are able to include touch screen capability, and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980M GPU with 4GB GDDR5 VRAM as well.
Both 2015 Alienware 15 and 17 for the Malaysian market also come standard with Qualcomm Atheros’s Killer Wireless-AC 1525 network card, 2.1 audio speaker by Klipsch, 8-cell 92Whr battery and 180W power adapter.
